I'm a Professor of Astrophysics at Tsinghua Centre for Astrophysics (THCA) and Physics Department of Tsinghua University. My research has been focused on the structure, formation and evolution of galaxies, and the large-scale structure of the Universe. I use data from both observational experiments (particularly SDSS-IV and Subaru/PFS) and numerical simulations to understand the physical link of different classes of galaxies with the hosting dark matter halos. I've been teaching Observational Astrophysics, an astrophysical course for both graduate students and high-level undergraduates. From the fall of 2017 I have been teaching a new course, Observational Cosmology - From the Solar System to the Distant Universe, a general education course for non-major junior undergraduate students.
Current Commitments
I'm the current Chair of the Galaxies and Cosmology Commission of Chinese Astronomical Society, since 10/2014
I'm chairing the Data Products Committee, co-chairing the Science Committee, and serving on the Executive Committee for the SDSS-IV/MaNGA project.
